If I tell you that a bunch of children, a handful of monkeys and a showbiz ‘wedding’ where the bride was serenaded with ‘That’s Amore’ were just a few of the antics at a Robbie Williams concert, I am sure you would have sworn you misunderstood me. You didn’t. There was. It was amazing.
Robbie Williams – Swings Both Ways. And by the title you would again be assuming the hunky bad boy hasn’t changed his ways. He has. And he hasn’t. The show was the perfect mix of contradictions.
Considering Robbie seemed to have snuck into Perth without much of a fuss (perhaps we have Kim and Kanye to thank for that) and the fact that when I told everyone where I was going no one seemed to know that the beyond-funny Brit was in town , he put on a show that can only be described as practically perfect.
For the record… This latest Robbie Williams show where he sang swing was possibly one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Now, admittedly swing is my type of noise, I knew all the words to all the songs. And if that wasn’t enough he managed to turn R.Kelly’s ignition into swing. Seriously.
To my fellow Aussie people… If you only listen to one thing that I write on the blog this year, let it be this… Buy a ticket to Robbie!
A big thank you to Visa Entertainments – I attended the concert as a guest of theirs. Good news for Visa cardholders – Did you know that Visa Entertainment gives all Visa cardholders access to exclusive concert ticket pre-sales? You can sign up today for free at visaentertainment.com.au and find them on Facebook.
Until next time…
P.S – For those of you interested, this is what I wore…
