Every once in a while I like to share some of my best buys, these are normally very inexpensive (and not limited to fashion) but I find them to be some of my greatest purchases. I would just like to make it clear that I have not been paid by any of the following companies to endorse these products nor do I receive any commissions on the sale of any of these items from these companies. It really is just about the products that I love!
First for this month is the Kosmea Rosehip oil. I first heard about rosehip oil (the fruit oil that is extracted from the hip of the rose) from my mum (who also got my dad started on it) and when it comes to organic anti aging there is no one more well researched than my mum. Rosehip oil claims to have so many benefits including; improving the appearance of scars, acne, burns, stretch marks, pigmentation, uneven skin tone, oily skin, psoriasis, age spots and so much more. It is suitable for the most dry, oily or sensitive skin.
A favourite amongst celebrities including the divine Miranda Kerr, I found it to be very hydrating without causing break outs. Its only been a few weeks but I have noticed a difference in my skin already. Keep in mind when looking for a good quality rosehip oil look for organic oils and an oil that is cold pressed or has been extracted without the use of heat or solvents.
Kosmea Rosehip Oil – $24.95 for 20ml.
The next one is for all the mummies, wives and girlfriends who like me have a clumsy family when dining out. This pen is truly a miracle. I was given a Stain X-ile pen to try, and to be honest I threw it in my bag and while I loved the idea I really didn’t give it much of a thought… that was until my husband knocked over a glass of red wine at a function and spilt it all over my dads white shirt. Remembering that I had Stain X-ile I quickly fetched it from the bottom of my bag and told my dad to use it. I only wish I was quick enough to take the before and after photos. After he used it there was no sign, and I really do mean NO sign of the red wine. It was a miracle! I carry it with me everywhere now and I have had to use it on more than one occasion. Apparently blood, ink and oil need more than the Stain X-ile but I used it on oil and found that it worked just as well as it did on the red wine.
Stain X-ile Pen – $7.95 (yes you read that correctly!)
Most of my long time readers will know that this year was all about healthy insides and looking after (and listening to) my body. I have changed my eating patterns and see an acupuncturist to keep me in optimal health. The one indulgence that I found quite hard (initially) to give up was chocolate. I try to eat a dairy free diet (or at the most a limited amount) so when my sister bought me some Sweet William dairy free chocolate I wasn’t too thrilled. I mean really, how good can dairy free chocolate taste?! At first I was unsure… it didn’t have that same sweet chocolate taste that I was used to but it wasn’t horrible, in fact it was actually quite good and is now my go to treat when I am craving something a little indulgent.
Here is hoping you found something you cant wait to try out…
Until next time…
