As a busy mother of two (I feel like I sound like an infomercial here) there are a few things that make me feel special… a new pair of shoes, a really good blow dry and a gorgeous mani/pedi. I remember how difficult it was to find time to have a manicure when my two were younger and even now, getting to a salon for a mani/pedi is one luxury I don’t really ever have time for.
For all the mothers out there you would know what it is like trying to paint your nails yourself, every time the last coat goes on one or all of your children need attention resulting in at least three smudged nails, crying children and a very frustrated mummy.
Good news for the time poor women out there, I have the solution to the mani/pedi problem! I was lucky enough to try Gelicious at home gel colour range with UV lamp. You can paint your nails and have them dry in 30 seconds. yep. really. There were only a few things I needed to remember… firstly, when applying the base coat and colour, apply thin coats (it will look patchy but that is okay as the second coat will ensure an even finish). Secondly, make sure the lamp is turned off when your fingers and toes are not in the lamp. Thirdly, if you are painting your own nails, paint and finish one hand first and then move onto the second hand.
I had the cutest colour on my nails, it was blue with white polka dots inspired by the dress that The Duchess of Cambridge wore while presenting little Prince George to the world, and the name of the polish “Little Prince George” of course.
With so many colour to choose from, it will be hard to pick just one. To purchase the lamp, the top coat and this gorgeous “little Prince George” colour in a package head here.
Lamps and colours are also sold separately. And the best part? the colour dries in 30 seconds under the UV lamp which means no more smudges!
Happy painting Ladies…
