This week saw President Obama sworn in for a second term in the Unites States of America. A little fact… next to my great and extensive love of fashion, I have a little thing for American Politics (could it be possible that I could be interested in both? Absolutely!).
I follow each election closely, listen to the debates, read about what each candidate stands for and while it is true that I cannot participate in the outcome it still is, to me, quite fascinating. So of course when President Obama was elected the first time I was thrilled, not only did I believe in what he stood for but he had a wife that was sure to set the fashion world aflutter.
I admire Michelle Obama, from what we can see she is graceful, supportive and a wonderful mother, all traits that I find most appealing… and of course it doesn’t hurt that she has a beautiful sense of style. Mixing high street with high end and often a regular at J.Crew and Target, The First Lady of the United States proves that its not what you wear but how you wear it.
So in dedication of her husbands inauguration, (and her arms, which I am currently coveting) I thought I would dedicate this post to her… and some of her fashion ‘moments’… happy viewing…
